High-Build, Fast-Curing Automotive Primer

How to use Preparation Clean the surface with a degreaser before sanding. Use for sanding a P320 grid to sand the surface needed for application of the primer. After sanding, thoroughly clean the surface with a degreaser. Wipe the surface clean with a tack cloth before applying the primer.

Spraying Spray the Automaxxx UV Primer Light Grey on to the substrate using a spray gun with a nozzle size between 1.2 -1.4 mm and a spraying pressure of 1.7-2.2 bar.

Application Apply the Automaxxx UV Primer Light Grey in 2 layers on to the surface with an approximate thickness of 100 μm. Apply the first layer of primer in a smooth flow onto the surface and let the layer vaporize for 2 minutes before applying the second layer. Apply the second layer in a smooth flow on the surface and let both layers vaporize for 5 minutes before curing with the UV Lamp. Cure the Primer for 5 minutes with the UV Lamp. Curing Times The Curing time may depend on several factors such as intensity, UV spectrum, age of the lamp, distance from the surface, surface area and the thickness of the layers to cure. This product is specified to be cured with a UV-A lamp with 300mW/cm2 UV LED. Use the UV-A lamp as described according to the manual. Use the UV lamp with a 20 cm distance from the surface to be cured.
